Terms of use

Last updated 11 August 2026

Plain version: read the memos, use what you learn, do not republish them as your own, and check anything important before you bet your business on it.

Using the memos

Everything published here is free to read and free to apply in your own work, including commercially. You may quote from a memo with credit and a link. You may not republish a memo in full, present it as your own writing, or feed it into a product that resells it as content.

Accuracy, and its limits

We source every claim and link to the original so you can check it. But this field moves weekly: prices change, tools change their terms, and a step that worked in one version breaks in the next. A memo describes what was true when it was written, and the date is on every one of them.

Nothing here is legal, financial, or security advice for your specific situation. The security memo in particular is a starting point, not an audit. If the stakes are real, get someone to look at your actual system.

Third-party tools

We name and link to tools we have used. We do not control them, we are not responsible for what they do with your data, and their terms apply to you when you use them. Where a link earns us anything, we say so on the page.

Liability

The memos are provided as they are. We are not liable for losses arising from following them, to the extent the law allows. You are responsible for testing changes before you apply them to something that matters.

Services

If we build something for you, that work is covered by a separate written agreement between us. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer or a quote by itself.
